Frontman Colin H. van Eeckhout leads the ritual as a mesmerizing high priest, exploring themes of birth and death, light and darkness, pain and redemption, pulling you mercilessly along. What makes these titans irresistible is the combination of their musical dynamics—crushing doom and Colin’s spine-chilling screams alternating with beautifully delicate melodic passages—and total darkness (musically and lyrically), giving Amenra’s shows a spiritual, almost sacred aura.
