This German duo serves up a bizarre mix of metal, punk, rock ’n roll and groove. Indeed: nur zwei Leuten. One drummer. And one bass player.
More than that, The Hebridean Sheep don’t need to build a wall of sound you can salute.
No guitars.
No bullshit.
No fucks given about what is or isn’t supposed to work.
Their secret weapon: improvisation. Everything goes, as long as it grooves. And groove they do. Hard.
The riffs are clunky, hypnotic and annoyingly catchy. Anyone who thinks you need at least three guitarists and a stack of Marshalls to make a wall of noise is in for a little reality check.
